I recently did a podcast called, "Guitar Intelligence" produced by my friend and former student, Brett Ecklund.
Brett studied with me when he was 19, back in the early eighties. He went on to become a pro guitarist in Kansas City, then moved to Austin, then Los Angeles.
Along the way he authored guitar instructional books, got endorsement deals with Ciari Guitars, Tagima USA, and Godin Guitars (OFFICIAL), authored, “Igor Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring for One Guitar,” and wound up, along with fellow host Tommy Benson, with a weekly radio show called, "Jazz Quest Radio" on an FM radio station in Laguna Beach, California that ran for almost 10 years.
In 2014 Brett and Tommy generously devoted a whole show to me, my CDs and my method book, Vertical Truth: Chordal Mechanisms for the Guitar.

Behind the scenes: "What really makes the radio show more fun is if we take our pants off."
Also, Brett talking about what he learned in one of his lessons with me: Drink Whiskey.
I talk about that radio episode in, The Fun Has Not Yet Gone Away.
Brett has recently released a new single; check it out:
This podcast is long and we had some technical issues and were unable to play together so there was a lot of yakking. In spite of his assertion that he was going to break it up into two episodes, Brett posted the whole thing, unedited.
How About 5 FREE Lessons?
The 5-Lesson Foundational Series teaches the Circle of Keys as an organizational mechanism by which you ensure that whatever you learn is drilled in every key in all possible positions. It also gives you a method to find any note, anywhere, without memorizing note names on every string. That is a beautiful thing!
Almost every lesson I teach presupposes it.
You can download the 5-Lesson Foundational Series right here for free (a $39 value) with no further obligation or commitment.
